3 Goals that I want to Achieve this Year

 This year, I have a few goals I want to achieve. My three main goals would have to be to get atleast a 4 or 5 on the AP exam, to pass every class with a 95 or above, and to pass my EOC for US history. The reason why I have chosen these as my main goals is because they all are involved with my academics and I know they will have an impact on my transcript and the opportunities to attend any college. I want to get atleast a 4 or 5 on the AP exam because I want to be able to receive the credit and so that it can knock out the language classes for college if applicable. I want to pass all my classes with a 95 or above because I've been maintaining all A's since freshmen year and I want to continue to do so until my senior year. I've always felt that having high grades showed that I take all my classes seriously and will make my mom proud with my studies. I also want to pass my EOC for US history because I don't want to repeat the class my senior year when I could just get it over with this year. I'm aware that it won't be easy because I've never been good with history but just this time do I hope I do well in this EOC.

Today, we learned how writers create a clear line of reasoning by connecting a claim, evidence, commentary, and conclusion. Which part of building an argument is most challenging for you, and why?

 Prompt Response:The part that is most difficult for me is coming up with a claim. I know how to identify the idea that I'd include in my claim I just tend to struggle creating the claim. I could write the body paragraphs first and then the claim. Sometimes I also tend to struggle creating the conclusion without repeating everything I stated in the claim. When I am able to create a claim, everything tends to flow and I get the hang of it. I've always had a difficulty when coming up with creating claims and sometimes conclusions. Summary: We learned what phrases to avoid when creating our claim and also wrote down what we can use as evidence in our readings and what not to use. Reflection: I learned that we should avoid using second person pronouns in paragraphs and should only use them in quotes if necessary. I also learned that if we use news articles or research studies, they should be no more than 10 years ago.

Describe something you will never fully understand

Prompt Response: Something I will never fully understand is why do people get with someone just to lie to them or end up leading them on? Why is it that people start dating at such a young age and believe it's right to lie to their partner just because? I've always wondered about that. I can't say I've experienced it, but I've experienced being with someone and them talking bad about me withh their best friend. To me, it doesn't make sense to do so, like if you don't like your partner anymore, why not leave them? Is it hard just to end your relationship when you feel like you're falling out of love? Personally, I'd prefer leaving someone instead of leading them on until they find out. The feeling of finding out isn't the best, so I wouldn't want to hurt them.
